Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree preferably in computer science, mathematics, statistics, finance or healthcare
  • 6+ years of relevant work in revenue cycle manager or healthcare analytics
  • Exposure to revenue cycle and healthcare analytics; enthusiasm for learning about analytics, technology, revenue cycle and healthcare
  • Understanding of statistical and advanced analytical methods (e.g., descriptive statistics, predictive analytics, machine learning) is a plus
  • Claims and remittance data experience is a plus
  • History of working on multiple workstreams in parallel; ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Product delivery experience is a plus
  • Readiness to collaborate and excitement for a close-knit team environment

What You’ll Do

You will work within the Revenue Cycle team using revenue cycle assets to deliver analyses and analytical insights.



In this role, you will deliver both results directly to clients at all levels and also support consulting teams in delivering outputs and insights themselves. Our teams help hospitals and other providers improve their revenue cycle capabilities to identify financial opportunities, and you will be a core member of the engine driving both insights and delivery.

In addition to insight delivery, you will push the development of existing products and assets, first as a primary user of the assets and later as a subject matter expert driving business case understanding. In doing so, you will problem solve with domains and healthcare practice leadership, and work with the data delivery team and external vendors to execute on a collective vision for Revenue Cycle products and assets.

Who You’ll Work With

You will be based in one of our offices as part of McKinsey’s Healthcare practice. You will be part of the Revenue Cycle Excellence (RevEx) team, with distinctive capabilities in the areas of growth, revenue cycle management (RCM) and pricing. You will be part of a supportive, collaborative team that is motivated to drive positive change in healthcare and shape the future of asset development and deployment.





You will be a key member of our revenue cycle management (RCM) vertical in the RevEx domain. Our RCM team works closely with clients to deliver on an integrated asset and expertise model. You will be working closely with solution, expert and data delivery colleagues to develop and deliver analytics, insights and outputs related to all segments of the provider revenue cycle. You will leverage internal RevEx assets and collaborate with consulting teams to co-develop insights. You will also help to develop new tools and refine existing assets within RevEx in collaboration with the RevEx data delivery team.

Our healthcare practice is home to 500+ colleagues in North America consisting of consultants, deep content and technical experts, technologists and operational leaders. We come together as blended and diverse consulting teams to improve healthcare. Our healthcare practice serves North American payors, providers and services companies and works with both public sector and private sector healthcare organizations.
