- An undergraduate degree with demonstrated analytical expertise is required
- 2-4 years of experience in QARA in Medtech or Pharma
- Direct experience with GMP and regulatory requirements
- Experience in Pharma or Medtech manufacturing is a plus
- Solid understanding of economic, financial, and general business concepts
- Data Visualization, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and basic business tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical/quantitative skills
- Demonstrated willingness and ability to engage with diverse, cross-functional teams to collectively solve complex problems
- Professional attitude and service orientation; team player
What You’ll Do
As a Senior Knowledge Analyst, you will balance direct client service with knowledge development – overall the direct client service will likely take 60-80% of your time.
You will develop analyses, keep up to date with industry and regulatory developments and apply cutting-edge knowledge to client problem-solving on your topics of expertise (there will be travel involved, which may vary with particular assignments). You will leverage your experience in quality and regulatory in Life Sciences industry to be a thought-partner to client teams and clients on a wide range of topics. Examples of work in the quality space include diagnostics and transformation of quality organizations, digitization and automation of quality systems and processes.
You will have a key role in solving the complex issues facing leading companies in this sector. You will combine your industry specific knowledge, creativity, initiative, enthusiasm, and analytical skills to deliver credible, well-structured communications in a highly collaborative and professional team environment. –
You will be contributing to the development of assets and solutions in the quality and regulatory space, from benchmarking surveys, to MVPs You will have access to internal and external cutting edge data sources , and will be expected to leverage proprietary McKinsey analytical modules to uncover new insights and opportunities to drive impact. You will ensure the integrity of all our products and reviews and endorse the content of our intellectual property
Lastly, you’ll proactively engage clients by providing deep insights and perspectives on topics of importance related to our work, represent McKinsey Life Sciences together with other senior McKinsey colleagues in public facing forums, including conferences, expert panels, and national quality and consensus organizations.

You will work in Summit, New Jersey as part of our Client Capabilities Network. Colleagues in our global Client Capabilities Network deliver distinctive client impact through assets and expertise and are driven by a culture of innovation.As part of our Global Life Sciencespractice, you’ll help clients outperform and innovate across the life sciences industries. Specifically, you will be a part of the Life Sciences Intelligence (LSI) team, which consists of ~100 professionals across analytics, knowledge, and capabilities and insights.
The Life Sciences practice helps clients across three dedicated functional service lines spanning Commercial, R&D, and Operations, as well as a host of client interest groups and functional joint ventures. Operations, which includes Quality and some Regulatory aspects, represents about a third of our Life Sciences work.
